Getting your backyard ready for bbq season
Spring is going to be here before we know it. Here are some tips and ideas to help you get your yard and grill ready for those backyard bbq‘s.
-Start by tidying up. Clear the yard of all excess clutter. Put away the frost rags that you used to protect your plants and bushes from the freezing temperatures and pull up all the dead plants that were lost during the winter months. Now is the perfect time to start trimming the hedges and trees in your yard.
-Start shopping around for some good potted plants and other shrubs to plant and replace what you lost over the winter. Choose flowers or shrubs that will begin to bloom shortly.
-Sweep off and pressure power-wash your porch, deck or patio.
-For additional shaded areas, start thinking about patio umbrellas and other accessories that will enhance your guests comfort.
-Design a layout for your patio furniture. Do you have ample seating for family and friends? If you need to think about buying, do so now so that you have it here in time for warmer weather.
-Last but not least, make sure the grill is ready to go! Thoroughly clean off the grill and bbq accessories. Stock up on extra fuel or charcoal so that you are always ready at a moments notice. Make sure there is an ample amount of lighting in the grilling area, so not to over cook the food. Check the quality of your bbq cover to see that it held up during the winter months.
We’ve had a long, cold winter. It is time for bbq season to begin!
