As a second-generation family business, we are proud of our history of exacting standards, innovative designs, and unwavering client focus. We don’t lay blind claim to being the best because our clients decide that.

BonaVista founder Bob Brown advanced the art of custom pools with his professional engineering background, aesthetic focus, and preference for emotion-evoking memories. But it was BonaVista’s professional and unpretentious company ethos-its guiding principles-that he molded and protected most.

Forty years ago, this meant clients were the heart of the process, the finest materials were insisted upon, and post-sale support was incomparable. Today, it is all of these things and more: One step into our industry-leading Outdoor Living Boutique at 812 Eglinton Ave. East, Toronto quickly reveals our contemporary design and service orientation, bespoke focus, and deft touch.

The BonaVista Legacy

Melissa Brown, P.Eng, MBA: With 20+ years of experience in almost every corner of BonaVista, Melissa runs the design/build division with an innate ability to create visually arresting and technically superior watershapes. She garners the best from our people, runs projects judiciously, and her engineering and Genesis 3 Design Group educations ensure clients benefit from the most educated and knowledgeable project leader in the province.

Peter Brown, BBA, Hons.: In 14 years, Peter has been responsible for countless areas, including the construction supervision of more than 450 watershapes. Now leading the organization from within, his business education and Genesis 3 Design Group training will refine the vision that has guided us for the last 40 years.

Jennifer Gannon (nee Brown), BA: Like siblings Melissa and Peter, Jennifer was raised pulling her weight in the family business. After 6 years of running the service department post-grad, Jennifer left to broaden her experience as a marketing executive. 10 years later, she has brought a wealth of marketing and business acumen back to the company, most notably with our new Outdoor Living Boutique in Toronto.
