Your Private Resort

Your Private Resort

After the difficulties and hardships experienced due to the Coronavirus pandemic lockdown, people have re-examined their relationships with their own properties. Now, more than ever, an oasis in your own backyard is more appealing than that vacation abroad. Now, more than ever, is the time to invest in your private resort which allows you to get away from it all without having to leave town. If you’re in need of some ideas on how to create a true sense of luxury in your own backyard, this article is for you.

An Expert Massage

One of the archetypal experiences at a vacation resort is the personal massage. However, with social distancing precautions, hiring a masseuse these days can be more problematic than ever. But there is a way around that. And that’s by investing in a modern hot tub.

Today’s hot tubs are very different from the circular cedar tanks that were so popular back in the 70s. The first generation of hot tubs had a single type of a water jet typically aimed at the small of the back. If you wanted to massage other parts of your body, you’d have to assume all sorts of awkward positions. However, with the transformation of water jet engineering and the advent of zone seating, hot tubs have evolved from a static massage experience to something completely dynamic that affects all parts of your body from your neck to the soles of your feet.

In a hot tub that features zone seating, each position offers a different type of massage therapy. As you cycle through the various seats, precisely engineered jets are aimed towards specific muscle groups. From powerful deep tissue massage to more delicate, superficial manipulations, zone therapy provides an overall body massage that’s difficult to duplicate by even the most experienced massage therapist.

Water Sports

Another familiar feature of the vacation resort is the opportunity to partake in an array of water sports. However, just because you’re stuck at home doesn’t mean you have to forgo this resort standard.

The installation of an inground swimming pool or a more compact swim spa would afford you access to virtually all the water sport activities you’d find at your favourite vacation spot. An inground swimming pool allows for swimming, team sports such as water polo or volleyball as well as general frolicking about.

You might think you’re more limited in a swim spa, and you might be right, but swim spas offer alternatives that wouldn’t be possible in a full sized swimming pool. Due to their reduced size and depth, swim spas can be an encouraging place to teach children how to swim. Also, you can simply turn up the water temperature to 40 degrees Celsius and you suddenly have access to a large hot tub. And incredible as it may seem, the current generated by a swim spa can be strong enough to allow you to row a kayak, small canoe or a paddleboard. Or attach a boogie board to a tether and ride the current as if you were in the ocean.
